Reviews
This is an excellent garden centre and restaurant somewhat off the beaten track on the outskirts of Glasgow near Mearnskirk. The restaurant is ultra popular and busy. It is on the richer belt south side area and is well known by locals. A chance visit is fine but booking is advisable. It has an extensive menu. Soups , sandwiches, flatbreads, paninis, baked Potatoes, dinner type maincourses and a wide selection of Bakery and desserts to tempt the sweet tooth. Service is fast and staff are friendly and helpful.A fantastic dining experience for any time of day.
There is an outside terrace for finer weather days with spectacular views looking westward toward Ben Lomond area. Well worth seeking out.
We've been here several times now. For a smaller local garden centre they have a truly impressive selection of plants, garden equipment and others associated things.
I haven't yet found anything that I need that they don't have or can't get, and the prices are also very reasonable. So overall this is pretty useful shop, particularly for those of us who are keen gardeners in the EK / Newton Mearns general area.
Starting with the restaurant side, it's always good, the food is always been very very nice, and if ever you've a 'minor' complaint, then it's seen to right away.
The staff are attentive and polite, efficient and attractive. .... and for the garden centre side of the "Garden Centre" is full of great plants that are obviously well looked after.
It has ....... let's just say it has everything you would be looking for, and few things that you wouldn't expect.
All in all a pleasurable place to visit.
Yup, prices have went up, costs have risen, .... its the same stuff, in the same place but more expensive!! Ah well, such is the world 🌎 today !
Food in restaurant has improved drastically and it's a pleasure to eat there nowadays. Afternoon tea is exceptional and good value. As always, gift selection in shop is very good.
Had a lovely lunch. Very tasty as usual. Thanks to all staff for a very enjoyable visit. Prices reasonable and choice fantastic. See you all soon.
Dropped in for something to eat for breakfast on the road home, girlfriend ordered first and then I elected to go for the Scottish breakfast minus a few items due to dietary requirements, immediately sensed the waitress drawing me a look as if I was stupid and was causing her hassle having to remove a few items off a breakfast deal that I can’t eat… she then offered to double up on other items I did want to replace the ones I couldn’t have which I then found quite good so didn’t think anymore of it until the other older waitress arrived with the food, gave my girlfriend her order and proceeded to to tell me “ and here is yours… which caused our chefs all the hassle”. I was quite taken back at the fact that A) the first waitress had clearly made a fuss of my order to other staff and B) me asking for a simple change being removal of some items I don’t and can’t eat is apparently “hassle” for your chefs and a huge drama. I found this Incredibly rude and unprofessional for a waiting service and I do seriously hope not all your staff are as short sighted when dealing with a new customers order. Unlikely to return.
Went to pick for a present for a wedding anniversary, plenty of plants and ceramic pots to choose from , well worth a visit, lovely stuff.
Afternoon Tea was great. Good selection of freshly made sandwiches and cakes with refills of tea and coffee. Staff were so nice and friendly
